Over LIMA

LIMA is hét platform in Nederland voor digitale kunst waar nieuwe technologieën, wetenschap, digitale cultuur en kunst worden getoond, waar de discipline actief wordt bevraagd en waar wordt gereflecteerd op het veld en de positie ervan in de maatschappij. LIMA vertegenwoordigt kunstenaars en ondersteunt hen in de presentatie en ontwikkeling van nieuw werk. Tegelijkertijd koestert LIMA het ‘geheugen’ van de Nederlandse mediakunst met haar digital repository en conserveringsdiensten. LIMA is internationaal pionier en expertisecentrum op het gebied van archivering, conservering en distributie voor mediakunst. LIMA onderzoekt en ontwikkelt in samenwerking met musea, kunstenaars, academies en universiteiten, diensten en tools voor makers en afnemers én methoden en gedrag om op een reflectieve en duurzame manier om te gaan met digitale kunst. Onze aanpak is uniek en verankerd in een groot (inter-)nationaal multidisciplinair netwerk.

DIRECTIONS

Public Transport from Centraal Station Amsterdam

  • Tram 17, Stop: Ten Katemarkt/ Kinkerstraat
  • 5 minute walk: with the market on your right follow Kinkerstraat,
    turn left on Nikolaas Beetsstraat, and take the first street to the
    left after the canal. We are the large brick building on your left.
     
  • Tram 1, Stop: Overtoom
  • 5 minute walk: rehabilitation clinic on your left, turn right into JP Heijestraat, right again into Kanaalstraat. Cross over. We are the large brick building on your left.

By car from Centraal Station Amsterdam

  • Make a sharp right onto Prins Hendrikkade
  • Turn left onto Martelaarsgracht and bear left onto Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal
  • At the traffic lights trun right onto Raadhuisstraat.
  • After 1.4 km turn left onto Bilderdijkstraat
  • Take the third left right onto Jacob Van Lennepstraat
  • Make a right onto Tollenstraat,Turn left onto Borgerstraat, on the end turn left, and you should see our building on your left.

- Keer rechts naar Tollenstraat,vervolgens links naar Borgerstraat, en direct weer links. LIMA zit in het grote bakstenen gebouw aan uw linkerhand.
