REBOOT. Pioneering Digital Art is an exhibition by LI-MA and Nieuwe Instituut presenting key works of digital art from the period 1960-2000, as well as new works by contemporary makers.

REBOOT displays the influence of digital technology in art and society. The exhibition includes key works by Annie Abrahams, Livinus van de Bundt & Jeep van de Bundt, Driessens & Verstappen, Yvonne le Grand, Edward Ihnatowicz, JODI, Bas van Koolwijk, Lancel/Maat, Jan Robert Leegte, Peter Luining, Martine Neddam, Marnix de Nijs and Edwin van der Heide, Dick Raaijmakers, Joost Rekveld, Remko Scha, Jeffrey Shaw, Debra Solomon, Steina, P. Struycken, Michel Waisvisz as well as new works inspired by these pioneers by Dries Depoorteer, Cihad Caner, Ali Eslami, Jonas Lund, Janilda Bartolomeu, Luna Maurer & Roel Wouters, Swendeline Ersilia and Play the City, and brui5er.

From 7 October, Nieuwe Instituut also opens their new space for digital culture: -1. This space is part laboratory, part exhibition space in which digital makers conduct creative research and the public is welcome.
