Together with our partner the Cultural Heritage Agency (RCE) we invite you to participate in this special edition of the writing workshop at LIMA. Under the guidance of an experienced Wikipedian you will describe the life and work of important female media artists!

After the workshop we warmly invite you to a special event with artists Marja Samsom. We celebrate the book launch of Marja Samsom’s latest publication Miss Taken Identities. We invited art historian Marga van Mechelen to give a contextualising lecture and we will share some key video works from the collection of the RCE and LIMA, showing how Marja takes on different identities inquisitively and seductively.

13:00 - 15:00 Event with Marja Samsom & art historian Marga van Mechelen including book signing and drinks

You can join both the workshop and the event or just one of the two. We look forward seeing you!

Note: on Sunday 28 November, a second signing session will take place in the Ambassade Hotel from 14:00 – 16:00 on the Herengracht 341 in Amsterdam.
At both venue’s visitors must be in possession of a valid QR code and proof of identity.

Samen met onze partner de Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed (RCE) nodigen we je uit om deel te nemen aan deze speciale editie van de schrijfdag bij LIMA. Onder begeleiding van een ervaren Wikipediaan beschrijf je het leven en werk van belangrijke vrouwelijke mediakunstenaars!

Na de workshop nodigen we je van harte uit voor een bijzonder evenement met kunstenaars Marja Samsom. We vieren de boeklaunch van Marja Samsoms nieuwste publicatie Miss Taken Identities - Kunsthistoricus Marga van Mechelen geeft een contextualiserende lezing en we delen enkele belangrijke videowerken die laten zien hoe Marja zowel onderzoekend en verleidelijk verschillende identiteiten aanneemt.
