As part of The LIMA Collection, Juha van 't Zelfde presents his view on medium specific works in the collection of LIMA. His selection contains both early pioneer works from the seventies and contemporary productions. Next to this, Juha invites the audience to participate in the search for gems in the collection. He will operate as both a search engine and guide, to experience the LIMA Collection together with you:

"As a DJ and promoter of new forms and electronic music, I have always been interested in sharing my own discoveries online, instead of keeping my tracks for myself. In my experience, the simple truth that when you give you will also receive does exist. I have made some of the most important discoveries by being part of a community of peers and strangers that share their finds and discoveries, whether online or in record stores.

At Lighthouse, we try to be transparent and generous as an institution. This means that we host a number of different communities, whose work we help develop and who present their work in our space. It is a reciprocal process that helps establish a diverse and vibrant programme, that goes beyond contained artistic divisions, but that tries to be collaborative and connected.

For this event, I would love to invite the audience to participate in the search for gems in the collection of LIMA. You could think of it as a joint 'YouTube night’ just before Christmas, where all of us can have the laptop to select a video we’d like to share with the rest. I hope that by sharing this opportunity, we will all get more out of it.”
