Over LIMA

LIMA is het internationale platform voor duurzame toegang tot mediakunst, opgericht door experts van het voormalig NIMk. Met hart voor kunst en techniek, zetten zij hun kennis in om videokunst, digitale kunst en performances ook in de toekomst te kunnen presenteren. Door (online) distributie van de eigen collectie staan wij in nauw contact met de praktijk. Met onze opslag en digitaliseringsdiensten ondersteunen wij musea, galeries en kunstenaars. En in samenwerking met makers, musea en universiteiten onderzoekt LIMA vraagstukken over het behoud en de toegankelijkheid van dit specifieke deel van ons cultureel erfgoed.

DIRECTIONS

Public Transport from Centraal Station Amsterdam

  • Tram 17, Stop: Ten Katemarkt/ Kinkerstraat
  • 5 minute walk: with the market on your right follow Kinkerstraat,
    turn left on Nikolaas Beetsstraat, and take the first street to the
    left after the canal. We are the large brick building on your left.
     
  • Tram 1, Stop: Overtoom
  • 5 minute walk: rehabilitation clinic on your left, turn right into JP Heijestraat, right again into Kanaalstraat. Cross over. We are the large brick building on your left.

By car from Centraal Station Amsterdam

  • Make a sharp right onto Prins Hendrikkade
  • Turn left onto Martelaarsgracht and bear left onto Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal
  • At the traffic lights trun right onto Raadhuisstraat.
  • After 1.4 km turn left onto Bilderdijkstraat
  • Take the third left right onto Jacob Van Lennepstraat
  • Make a right onto Tollenstraat,Turn left onto Borgerstraat, on the end turn left, and you should see our building on your left.

- Keer rechts naar Tollenstraat,vervolgens links naar Borgerstraat, en direct weer links. LIMA zit in het grote bakstenen gebouw aan uw linkerhand.
