Network and partners

LIMA conducts research in response to our own collection of media art and on issues surrounding the conservation and preservation of media art. We cannot however perform this task alone and therefore work willingly with national and international organisations. 


The Foundation for the Conservation of Contemporary Art (Dutch abbreviation: SBMK) has been occupied with projects related to the maintenance and conservation of contemporary visual art. 



DEN foundation (Dutch abbreviation Digitaal Erfgoed Nederland) is the national center for ICT in cultural heritage. DEN is for archives, museums, libraries with special collections, archaeological and historic building institutions.

The CCDD (Dutch abbreviation: Culturele Coalitie Digitale duurzaamheid) is part of the Dutch knowledge center for digital heritage (DEN). The CCDD is a network of professional cultural institutions.


Universiteit van Amsterdam (NL)

The University of Amsterdam (Dutch abbreviation: Universiteit van Amsterdam) or the UvA is a public research university located in Amsterdam.

GAMA - the gateway to archives of media art - provides an online access to a variety of European media art archives representing a large spectrum of media art. 



Digitising Contemporary Art (DCA) is a 30-month digitisation project for contemporary art. DCA increases access to contemporary art in other environments than just its original settings of museums or galleries




PACKED is a centre of expertise in Digital Heritage.  PACKED plays a central part in Flanders in the development of knowledge, experience and expertise regarding digitisation and digital archiving.



Tate holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day and international modern and contemporary art.

INCCA is a network of professionals connected to the conservation of contemporary art. Members allow access to each others unpublished information through the INCCA Database.


Het Nieuwe Instituut (NL)

Het Nieuwe Instituut arose on 1 January 2013 from a merger of the Netherlands Architecture Institute; Premsela, the Netherlands Institute for Design and Fashion; and Virtueel Platform, the e-culture knowledge institute.
